Job summary

Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus is hiring an Assistant Nurse Manager for the G91 Pulmonary Stepdown Unit. This 32-bed unit cares for acute pulmonary conditions, requiring strong clinical leadership and mentorship to ensure world-class patient care.

The ANM will supervise clinical operations, coordinate admissions/discharges, interview and orient new staff, and support quality improvement initiatives. Night shift coverage, every other weekend/holiday, and a comprehensive benefits package accompany

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN degree required.
• Current state RN license.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS certification if in a Critical Care area (within first year).
• Two years of recent clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision and coordinate unit clinical operations under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
• Supervise and participate in delivering patient care, ensure continuity of patient care information between shifts, and coordinate patient admitting, discharges and transfers.
• Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of caregivers, counsel caregivers on performance issues, administer initial corrective actions, monitor attendance issues and review major operational patient care issues with the Nurse Manager.
• Interview, select and orient new caregivers.
• Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts.
• Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes, studies and research initiatives.
• Monitor the adherence to EEO/AAP goals and guidelines.
