Job summary
Genesis HealthCare, Inc. in Manchester, NH is seeking a dedicated RN Nurse Educator for a full-time role to orient and educate nursing staff and ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
The educator will report to the Director of Nursing, develop education programs, supervise new hires during orientation, and conduct competency evaluations. The role includes overseeing Employee Health activities, including vaccines and annual wellness tracking.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license.
- Minimum three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
- Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred.
- Excellence in clinical nursing skills required.
- Experience in Gerontology preferred.
- Training and/or experience in adult learning preferred.
Responsibilities
- Orient and educate nursing personnel in the nursing center and ensure safe, effective nursing care per guidelines.
- Report to the Director of Nursing and develop education programs for staff.
- Supervise and monitor new nursing staff during orientation.
- Perform annual competency testing and evaluate staff performance.
- Oversight of Employee Health Program including TB, hepatitis vaccines and influenza tracking.
