Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) practitioner to influence learner competence through education design, assessment and leadership. The role partners with nursing leadership to develop competency-based programs, onboarding and professional growth across the region.

The NPD practitioner will drive evidence-based practice, promote LEAN process improvements and foster inter-professional education to elevate patient care quality.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to develop, deliver and evaluate educational programs.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and LEAN/process improvement.
• Strong communication and leadership skills in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Learning Facilitator: bridge knowledge gaps using educational design and adult learning principles.
• Collaborative Partner: work with nursing leadership to assess learning needs and develop programs.
• Role Development: promote professional nursing practice and adherence to ANA standards.
• Mentor: support ongoing professional learning and development of colleagues.
• Competency Management: track knowledge, skill and performance during practice.
• Orientation: develop and evaluate onboarding programs for changes in roles.
