Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our nights team on a full-time basis with rotating weekends. You will perform plan of care interventions, document care, monitor patient condition, assist with activities of daily living, and collaborate with the care team.

The role requires an Associate's degree in nursing, a Kentucky RN license (or multistate), and BCLS; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in Kentucky or Multistate license.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned
