Job summary

Rochester General Hospital, part of Rochester Regional Health, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Step Down Unit. The role involves night shifts, full-time 36 hours per week, and a focus on complex vascular surgeries and post-op care within a critical care setting.

The RN level will be determined based on qualifications, with a ladder and compensation add-on. Requires NYS RN license, Diploma/ADN, and BLS; Bachelor’s degree preferred and 6 months RN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• AS: Nursing (Required).
• Diploma or ADN required.
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient.
• Communicates and documents assessment with the interdisciplinary team.
• Develops and documents plan of care, treatment and services.
• Revises plan of care based on evaluations and updates documentation.
• Maintains BLS certification and completes required continuing education.
