Job summary

Rochester Regional Health seeks a Registered Nurse I-V for the General Surgery unit at Rochester General Hospital. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, plan care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

The role supports a clinical ladder (Levels I–IV) with advancement based on experience, leadership, and CEUs. A NY RN license and BLS are required; BSN is preferred. Shift is night, 36 hours/week, in Rochester, NY 14621.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse license in New York State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• At least 6 months RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient.
• Communicates and documents assessment with the interdisciplinary team.
• Develops and documents plan of care tailored to patient needs.
• Complies with organizational policies and safety protocols.
• Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations.
