Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the General Surgery unit (2800) at Rochester General Hospital. The role involves delivering high-quality clinical care, assessing patients, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team on care plans and documentation.

The position requires an NY RN license, a nursing degree (AS or higher), and BLS certification; Bachelor’s in Nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse license in New York State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsabilités

• Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate data
• Communicates and documents assessment of patient with the interdisciplinary team
• Utilizes all available resources to meet the needs of the patient and family
• Develops and documents plan of care, treatment and services which is individualized
• Complies with organizational policies, procedures and protocols including safety, medication administration and documentation
• Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations and updates documentation
• Completes at least one clinical research utilization (CRU) form for submission to Nursing Research Department using a recent US-based article
