Job summary

Rochester General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg/Complex Care unit, a fast-paced 39-bed unit providing medical-surgical care and telemetry support. The RN will participate in clinical ladder advancement and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and safe discharge planning.

The role requires NYS RN licensure, a Diploma/AS in Nursing, and BLS certification, with the level determined by qualifications and ladder requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• New York State RN license required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments and documents findings.
• Develops individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Monitors patient safety, medication administration and protocol adherence.
• Revises plans based on evaluations and updates documentation.
• Completes at least one clinical research utilization form for Nursing Research.
