UVM Health Network - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital seeks an experienced RN Shift Coordinator to manage patient services on nights, oversee census and resource needs, and coordinate transfers across operations. The candidate must be a NYS-licensed RN with a BSN, plus several years of nursing and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Current NYS RN licensure.
• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• 5 years of relevant nursing experience.
• 1 year critical care experience preferred.
• 3 years of supervisory experience required.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Demonstrates leadership and managerial abilities with good oral and written communication.
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making within an organizational framework.
• Experience with Policy Manager, Soarian and related systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee primary census management during shift and ensure resource availability across shifts.
• Coordinate transfers for Patient Care Operations and liaise with system departments.
• Provide leadership and direction to staff during the shift, especially in high-stress situations.
• Utilize interdisciplinary teamwork to support quality improvement and informatics initiatives.
