Job summary

The University of Vermont Health Network in Burlington, VT seeks a Staff Nurse II to deliver professional nursing care across varied health states. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, and collaborate with physicians, nurses and other practitioners to support patient health and transitions after discharge.

Requirements include current RN licensure (Vermont or compact), ADN; BSN preferred, and relevant clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by Vermont is required.
• ADN required, BSN preferred.
• Appropriate experience in specified clinical area; varies by unit.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to patients through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care plan.
• Functions as a team member within nursing and multidisciplinary teams, delivering direct patient care and instruction.
• May take charge as operational needs require, and prepares for continuation of care after discharge.
