Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General in Akron is seeking an RN for the New Life Center - Labor & Delivery/Perinatal, 0.9 FTE Nights + Call, schedule 7:00pm-7:00am. Join a Baby-Friendly birth facility with a multidisciplinary team focused on safe, patient-centered care.

You will contribute to assessments, plans of care, and coordination with physicians, nurses, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and pregnancy specialists to deliver exceptional outcomes for mom and baby.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• ACLS or ALS certification required upon hire or within one year.
• NRP certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and the care team in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care.
• Provide nursing care, administer treatments and medications, and document.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary plans of care and act as patient advocate.
• Communicate changes in patient condition and unit issues in a timely manner.
• Complete admission assessments and participate in nursing committees as needed.
