Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General's NICU, a 14-bed level III unit, seeks an RN for night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) to join a dedicated team. You will provide direct nursing care to critically ill neonates and collaborate with neonatologists, NNPs, and therapists to ensure high-quality, family-centered care.

Minimum qualifications include RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications, and experience in NICU or CCU. Strong assessment, communication, and advocacy skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS certification per American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• ACLS certification within one year of hire.
• NRP certification within six months of hire.
• BSN preferred; two years NICU and two years critical care experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a Neonatal ICU setting.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for neonate patients and families.
• Complete admissions and ongoing assessments; respond to condition changes.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary plan of care and advocate for patients.
• Administer treatments/medications and document thoroughly.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and staff education.
