Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, OH is seeking a part-time night-shift RN for the Maternity Unit. You will provide direct nursing care, follow care plans, and document patient conditions to ensure safe childbirth experiences.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, BLS/ACLS within one year, and at least one year of acute care experience, with ability to educate families and coordinate discharge needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN) required.
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience required.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
• Circulate and scrub in the Operating Room.
• Train in the OB Emergency Department.
• Cross-train to post-partum.
