Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital in Akron, Ohio, is seeking a PRN Experienced RN in Labor & Delivery/Perinatal. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses and anesthesia teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for mothers and newborns.

This role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN), current RN license, BLS, and preferred two years of acute care experience; military RN experience welcomed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• Pass prescreen competency assessments.
• External applicants: two years of recent experience in an acute care setting.
• Internal applicants with <2 years’ experience may be considered with level review and approval.
• Military RN experience will be considered.
• BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients' conditions.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
