Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a PRN Experienced RN for Labor & Delivery/Perinatal at Akron General Medical Center. You will join a collaborative team caring for mothers and newborns, providing direct nursing care and contributing to comprehensive patient-centered outcomes.

Role requires ADN or BSN, current RN license, BLS certification, and at least two years of acute-care experience. Night shifts run 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with 48 hours required in a six-week period.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Current state RN licensure required
• Successfully pass prescreen competency assessments
• External applicants: two years of recent acute care experience
• Internal applicants may be considered with probationary period and leadership review
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to labor & delivery/perinatal patients.
• Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor, document and communicate patient conditions.
• Coordinate discharge planning across disciplines.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders as assigned.
