Job summary

TCH Medical Center in Houston, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the General Med/Surg unit (20WT). This full-time night position (7p-7a) requires a nursing degree, Texas RN license or compact, and BLS certification, with at least 9 months of nursing experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or associate degree in nursing required.
Current Texas RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact required.
BLS certification required by American Heart Association.
9 months of professional nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs and documents patient assessments across biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual, and environmental needs.
Analyzes patient status changes and updates the plan of care accordingly.
Communicates care plans with the health care team and documents in the medical record.
Participates in interdisciplinary rounds and care conferences.
Administers and documents medications and treatments in a timely manner.
Demonstrates interpersonal skills with patients, families, and team members.
Contributes to unit performance improvement initiatives.
