Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Dallas, Texas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical-Surgical Urology/Genitourinary unit on a full-time night shift (36 hours per week).

You’ll deliver patient care using the Nursing Process, assess and plan, intervene as needed, and maintain continuity across shifts, with self-scheduling and rotating weekends. Requires TX RN licensure, BCLS and ACLS; CPI within 90 days; 1 year RN experience or residency.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or higher is required; ADN/BSN acceptable.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing on hire.
• BCLS certification required upon hire; ACLS required on hire.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of RN experience or completion of a nursing residency.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control into patient care.
• Initiates information to meet patient and family needs.
• Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and transfers.
