Job summary

NTMC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Unit in Texas to provide direct and indirect patient care during full-time nights. You will communicate with physicians, the Nurse Manager, and co-workers about changes in a patient’s condition and test results, and perform nursing duties with supervision as needed.

Requirements include a Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS and NIHSS within 90 days, and prior Med-Surg experience preferred. NTMC is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Texas is required.
• BLS Certification is required.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications must be obtained within 90 days of start.
• Med/Surg experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in a medical-surgical setting.
• Communicate changes in patient condition and diagnostic results to physicians and nurse manager.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and conduct timely reassessments per policy.
• Educate patients and families on pain management and care plans.
• Assist physicians with procedures and carry out licensure-appropriate treatments.
• Adhere to medication administration rights and safety standards.
