Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health, Southside Medical Center, is seeking an Obstetrics RN to deliver compassionate nursing care to obstetric patients. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, assess patient status, prioritize needs and implement care plans to support safe birth outcomes.

The role requires an RN license, a nursing degree (AS or BSN), obstetric experience preferred, and certifications such as BLS (ACLS/NRP optional).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure required.
• BLS (preferred on hire; must obtain prior to direct patient care); ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS; NRP preferred.
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred if interpreting fetal monitoring.
• One year of professional RN experience; OB/ED/CC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Provide episodic (outpatient) and inpatient OB nursing care.
• Apply the nursing process for pregnancy, birth, postpartum, gynecologic and neonatal care.
• Administer medications safely according to State of Practice and policies.
• Deliver patient-centered care for women and newborns across gestational ages.
