Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Petersburg, VA seeks an experienced RN for Obstetrics to provide compassionate obstetric and newborn care. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to manage patient status, develop care plans, and deliver safe nursing interventions across pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

The role requires a current RN license and at least 1 year of OB/ED/CC experience; EPIC EHR training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS (preferred on hire; must obtain before direct patient care).
• ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS; NRP preferred within 3 months.
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification preferred.
• 1 year RN experience; OB/ED/CC preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Provide obstetrical/women's health nursing care inpatient and outpatient as applicable.
• Apply nursing process across pregnancy, birth, postpartum and neonatal care.
• Triage, prioritize, assess, educate, stabilize and emergency management.
• Administer medications safely per state practice and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
