Job summary

Bon Secours in Richmond, VA seeks an Obstetrics (OB) Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-level nursing care across pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. You will assess patient status, prioritize needs, implement interventions for acutely ill patients, develop care plans, and ensure a safe environment.

Requirements include RN licensure and 1 year of RN experience; OB/ED/CC experience preferred. BLS (required for hire) and ACLS/NRP certifications preferred; EPIC EHR training is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associate degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred; must obtain prior to direct patient care) / ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS
• NRP Neonatal Resuscitation Program (preferred at hire, within 3 months)
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification - National Certification Corporation (preferred)
• One year of professional RN experience; OB/ED/CC preferred
• EPIC EHR training (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide care to women and neonates across pregnancy, birth, postpartum, gynecological and related health issues
• Deliver episodic and inpatient obstetrical/women's health nursing care
• Apply nursing process to care planning, assessment, stabilization and emergency management
• Administer medications safely
• Other duties as assigned
