Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking a dedicated NICU Registered Nurse (RN) in California for a 13-week contract. The RN will provide one-to-one or small-group neonatal care, manage complex cases, and work with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes for neonates, including those born very preterm.

The role requires a California RN license, BLS and NRP, at least two years NICU experience, and familiarity with infant feeding methods and ventilation support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years NICU experience.
• Current and valid California RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP.
• Experience in managing conditions such as Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or 1:2 care for neonates in the NICU.
• Perform dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
• Manage feeding via bottle, breast, or gavage methods.
• Implement placement and management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Manage arterial lines and provide central line care.
• Administer IV medications, including vasopressors and surfactants.
• Oversee ventilator management (AC, PC, SIMV, CPAP, BIPAP, PEEP).

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate start. The RN will provide care for neonates in a fast-paced environment, working closely with a team to ensure the best outcomes for our tiniest patients. This position involves handling complex cases, including infants born before 24 weeks, and requires a deep understanding of neonatal care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or 1:2 care for neonates in the NICU.
• Perform dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
• Manage feeding via bottle, breast, or gavage methods.
