Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, MN seeks an experienced RN for the Level II Neuro Trauma Med/Surg unit at St. Mary’s Medical Center. You will care for patients with neuro trauma, neurological surgeries, and related issues in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota.
• BCLS certification within one month of hire.
• Experience in neuro trauma, trauma or med/surg settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to neuro trauma and neurologic patients in Med/Surg unit.
• Perform NIHSS stroke assessments and support swallowing/dysphagia screening.
• Coordinate care with the care team, delegating tasks based on licensure and scope of practice.
• Contribute to meeting the mission/quality goals and comply with regulatory standards.
