Job summary

Mercy in Missouri seeks a registered nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process, coordinate with other departments, and maintain patient rights and confidentiality in alignment with Mercy Service Standards. The role requires nursing education and active RN licensure in the hiring state or a compact license.

BLS is mandatory on hire; many units may require ACLS and related certifications.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
• ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM or other unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.

Position Details:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
