Job summary

Mercy Coletta Cancer Center in Oklahoma is seeking a Nurse Navigator to support oncology patients across the continuum of care. This part-time role (20 hours per week) collaborates with physicians, family, and the care team to coordinate treatment and ensure a compassionate patient experience.

Education and experience requirements include RN license, nursing degree, 2 years of related experience (3 years in oncology preferred), BLS certification within 30 days, and Oncology or Chemo/Biotherapy

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing.
• Preferred education: Bachelor of Science Nursing.
• Experience: 2 years related experience.
• Preferred experience: 3 years in an oncology setting, formal patient education and community educational presentations, support-group facilitation.
• Licensure: RN (Registered nurse) licensed in state of practice.
• Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred Certification: Oncology Nursing or Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification.

Overview:

The Nurse Navigator is nursing specialist who follows patients across the continuum of care. The Navigator coordinates with an advanced level of clinical expertise, all aspects of treatment and care for, and in collaboration with, Mercy's patients, their family and significant others, physicians, interdisciplinary team, and other support staff.

Qualifications:
