Mercy Coletta Cancer Center is seeking a Nurse Navigator (RN) to guide patients across the continuum of care in an ambulatory oncology setting. This part-time role (20 hours/week) emphasizes care coordination, education, and collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have an RN license in OK, oncology knowledge, and experience in patient education and coordination.

Formación

• Education: Graduate from an approved school of nursing
• Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science Nursing
• Experience: 2 years related experience
• Preferred Experience: 3 years in an oncology setting, formal patient education and community educational presentations, support-group facilitation
• Licensure: RN (Registered nurse) licensed in state of practice
• Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 30 days of hire is required
• Preferred Certification: Certification in Oncology Nursing or Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate with patients and families across the continuum of care.
• Collaborate with Mercy’s physicians, interdisciplinary team, and support staff for treatment and care planning.
• Provide nursing support, education, and resources to patients and families.
• Support patients across treatment and survivorship through navigation of services.

The Navigator coordinates with an advanced level of clinical expertise, all aspects of treatment and care for, and in collaboration with, Mercy’s patients, their family and significant others, physicians, interdisciplinary team, and other support staff.

• Physical Requirements: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
