Job summary

UW Health's American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI seeks a Registered Nurse Navigator for Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery to coordinate care from referral through postoperative follow-up. You will partner with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely access and effective education for patients and families.

BSN is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should have at least 3 years of nursing experience, Wisconsin RN licensure, and CPR/ACLS as applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience required.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in the specific patient population being supported preferred.
  • Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin Upon Hire required.
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire required.
  • Applicable Oncology certification based on patient population preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Navigate care for cardiothoracic surgery patients across the continuum, from referral through postoperative follow-up.
