Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN for a 13-week MS Tele assignment in a 28-bed telemetry unit. This role features 12-hour night shifts with a 1:5 patient-to-nurse ratio and calls for careful observation of cardiac patients and post-catheterization care. Required are an active RN license, minimum 2 years’ RN experience, and BLS & ACLS certifications.
You must be able to titrate drips and read telemetry strips. Shifts run 7 a.m.–7:30 p.m.

Description:Unit has 28 beds.Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5.Common diagnoses include cardiac patients, post-catheterization, acute myocardial infarction, post-operative lung surgeries, respiratory failure, and pacemaker management.Unit does not provide step-down care.Night shift charge nurse will take patients while dayshift charge nurse will not.No nurse aides will be available on night shift.On dayshift, there will be one aide for 10 patients.Respiratory therapy is managed by RT.The unit uses Philips monitors for telemetry.Weekend requirements include every other weekend.Holiday work is required as per the established rotation schedule.Floating may occur to any Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.Shifts are scheduled for either 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
