Job summary

Description:Unit focuses on hourly rounding and bedside shift report.Looking for candidates who enjoy change and want to learn.Travelers need to be flexible and self-directed.Primary patient population includes individuals with various diagnoses such as total knees, total hips, shoulder replacements, COPD, diabetes, and wounds.Additional patient types may include those with IV infusions, dementia, oncology needs, fractures, sepsis, pneumonia, and more.Ratio of nurses to patients is typically 1:5.Charge nurses are present on each shift, and they may take on an assignment.Support staff, including nurse aides and patient care techs, assist with patient care.The unit has telemetry systems, with monitor techs available in critical areas.Self-scheduling is used for shifts.Weekend requirements include every third weekend.Candidates may be required to float to other units as needed.Scrubs must be navy blue.Unit provides a supportive environment for nurses looking to grow in their practice.
