Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an RN for MS Orthopedic Telemetry in a 34-bed unit with a 1:5 patient-to-nurse ratio. You will titrate medications and read telemetry strips, with occasional floating to other units as needed.

Shifts are Nights, Every Other Weekend, First to Float, 12-hour shifts. Requires 2+ years of RN experience and BLS certification; EPIC is used for charting in a high-acuity environment.”

Description:This position involves working in an orthopedic telemetry unit.The unit consists of 34 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5.Common diagnoses include total joints, cardiac rule outs, pneumonia, psychiatric patients, and general surgery post-operative care.Registered Nurses will be required to titrate medications, including heparin, which is weight-based.Nurses are also expected to read telemetry strips.Charge nurse and supervisory roles are present on the unit.Nurse aides will be available with a maximum ratio of 1:8, up to 1:12.The unit is equipped with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow devices for patient care.Nurses may float to medical telemetry, PCU, or ICU to care for patients with medical-surgical acuity or ER holding.The dress code is professional scrubs of any color.The position requires rotating holidays and every other weekend.The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to four shifts during a 13-week assignment.Charting is done using the EPIC system.
