Description:Unit has a total of 55 beds.The nurse-to-patient ratio is 5 to 1.Charge nurse is present and does not take patients.Patient care technicians are available, with 1 to 3 depending on census.Every other weekend is a requirement.Holidays will be integrated into the permanent staff holiday rotation.Scrub color will be navy.No telemetry or ventilator patients.Clientist or intensivist is in-house.IV and PICC team available during the day.Respiratory therapy is available 24/7.Pharmacy is available 24/7.Floating between both MedSurg units is required.Two shifts of orientation will be provided, one for each unit.Common diagnoses include MedSurg and Ortho.Cancellation policy allows the hospital to cancel shifts as per the assignment duration.
