Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a RN - MS for a 13-week assignment on a 37-bed surgical unit. The role requires active licensure, at least 2 years in Medical-Surgical, and prior charge nurse exposure. Staffing includes 4‑6 patients per RN during day and 5‑6 at night, with weekend coverage required.

Expect to float within scope of practice as needed and collaborate with IV, PT, respiratory, and pharmacy teams. Certifications relevant to nursing are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage a 37-bed surgical unit with patient loads ranging from 4 per RN (day) to 5–6 per RN (night).
• Provide unit leadership and ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Weekend coverage required every third weekend.
• Clinicians may float within scope of practice to meet facility needs.
• Collaborate with IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services and pharmacy.
• Manage surgical drains, wound care and tracheostomy care.

Description:This is a 37-bed surgical unit that takes some overflow medical patients.Typically, during the day shift, there are 4 patients per RN, and during the night shift, the ratio increases to 5-6 patients per RN.The unit accepts first-time travelers with relevant experience.Weekend coverage is required every third weekend.Clinicians may float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs.This position does not accommodate block scheduling.The unit serves adult and geriatric patient populations.Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.Key skills required include management of surgical drains, wound care, and tracheostomy care.Candidates may be required to float to nearby units as needed.
