Cynet Health is seeking an RN (Registered Nurse) for a Neuro MS unit on a 13-week travel assignment in West Virginia. The role requires a minimum of 2 years' RN experience, an active license, BLS certification, and experience with orthopedic patients and PCA pumps.

You will work in a 33-bed unit with private rooms and care for patients undergoing elective surgeries such as hips, knees, and shoulders, as well as some neuro surgeries.

Description:This position involves working in a 33-bed unit with all private rooms.You will care for patients undergoing elective surgeries, such as hips, knees, and shoulders, as well as some fractures from falls and neuro-surgeries.General Med Surg experience is also required.The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 to 6.There is a Charge Nurse available 24/7, and day charge nurses may take patient assignments if necessary.Patient Care Techs are available to assist staff and typically the unit aims for 4 PCTs if fully staffed.Duties of PCTs include vital signs, FSBS, and assisting with ADLs.Remote telemetry monitoring is provided, and RNs are not required to read strips.Staff will work 12-hour shifts from 0700-1930 or 1900-0730 with a 30-minute lunch break.Self-scheduling is available for permanent staff; however, travelers will be scheduled according to unit needs.There is a weekend requirement of working every other weekend.Holidays will be assigned based on unit needs, and travelers may be expected to work these holidays.Travelers may float to various Med Surg units as needed.Scrub color required is royal blue, and specific dress code guidelines apply.
