Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Float RN for a 13-week assignment in Oregon. The nurse will float to the medical care, post-surgical, and intermediate care units, delivering bedside care, administering medications, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team.

Active Oregon RN license (or willingness to obtain), BLS and ACLS certification required. Recent hospital experience (past 5 years) and at least two years Med Surg are preferred.

Description:The Float RN will be required to float to the medical care unit, post-surgical unit, and intermediate care unit.Within the RN scope of practice, the nursing process will be applied to the care of patients.The RN will teach patients and significant others.Documentation of patient care in the medical record is essential.The RN will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to effectively coordinate overall patient care.Flexibility, ability to prioritize, and adaptability to rapidly changing patient and unit needs are required.Demonstrating effective teaching skills is necessary.The RN should respond effectively to patient crisis and emergency situations.Maintaining regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is expected.Flexibility in accepting assignments to varied areas along with a friendly, helpful attitude is essential.
