Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO seeks an RN for the Mother-Baby Unit. The role uses the nursing process to provide patient care, coordinates with departments, protects patient rights, and aligns with Mercy Standards.

Staff work 12-hour shifts, weekends and holidays as needed, with shift and weekend differentials and comprehensive benefits. New hires may receive sign-on bonuses up to $20,000 for night shift and education assistance, plus relocation support for full-time staff, and retirement

Qualifications

• Valid RN license required.
• Experience in Mother-Baby care preferred.
• Ability to coordinate patient care with multiple departments.

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Position Details

UP TO $20,000 SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE for nightshift only -NO CONTRACT

Incentives:

• 1-2 years' RN experience Sign On Bonus $13,000

• 3-4 years' RN experience Sign On Bonus $15,000

• 5+ years' RN experience Sign On Bonus $20,000

The Mother-Baby Unit is a 50-bed unit, all privates located on the 5th floor of Mercy Hospital. The Mother-Baby unit serves mothers and their stable newborns, late preterm to term using a specially trained health-care team, as well as stable antepartum patients needing short to long term hospitalization. The major admitting diagnosis' include postpartum mothers experiencing vaginal deliveries and postoperative cesarean sections and their newborns, as well as pregnancy diagnoses' such as PIH, PROM, Gestational diabetes, and Placenta Previa. The service is provided 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. The Mother-Baby Unit is a specialized area of expertise that require astute assessment skills, development of critical thinking while understanding the implications of growth and development on physiologic and patho-physiologic process. All staff work 12-hour shifts, 0630 to 1900 and 1830 to 0700, which includes alternating weekend shifts and holiday shifts.
