Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our Mobile Health Unit team. In this community-based role, you will deliver high-quality nursing care directly to patients in underserved areas through our mobile clinic program.

The RN serves as a key member of the interdisciplinary care team, providing preventive care, chronic disease management, patient education, screenings and care coordination while promoting health equity and access to care.

Qualifications

  • State RN license in NM or Compact state.
  • Minimum ADN preparation with BSN completion within 5 years of hire.
  • Specialty certifications in area of practice preferred.
  • BLS required for all; ACLS/PALS as applicable by service area.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process during nurse visits in ambulatory settings.
  • Provide direct patient care for telephone triage in ambulatory settings.
  • Manage medication refills as an agent of the provider using approved nursing protocols.
  • Ensure safe, timely, effective, equitable, and patient-centered care.

Summary: Presbyterian is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Mobile Health Unit team. Responsibilities
  • Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for nurse visits in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models.
  • Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for telephone triage in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models.
  • Responsible for Medication Refill Management as an agent of the provider using approved nursing protocols.
  • Ensures safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care of patients.
Qualifications
  • Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
  • Academic Preparation:
    • Degree from accredited academic nursing program (If a program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO)
    • Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire
  • Specialty Certifications: Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred
  • Professional Requirements/Emergency Response: Maintains current training in following:
    • BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required for all
    • Additional Requirements based upon area of service
    • CDS Outpatient
    • Specialty Care Clinics: Oncology Chemotherapy certification
    • Urgent Care: ACLS, PALS
    • Pediatric Urgent Care: PALS
  • Experience: Minimum New graduate or experienced nurse from an accredited nursing program
