Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking an energetic Medical-Surgical RN for the Med A unit, nights 7pm–7am. The 30-bed unit handles a variety of adult and geriatric cases with specialty overflow from Surgery, Pulmonary, Neuroscience, Oncology and Orthopedics.

Responsibilities include providing direct patient care using the nursing process, coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team, and maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Georgia RN licensure required or eligible.

ATHENS, GASign-on Bonus Available $Full-time Nights 7pm-7amMed Surg Unit Med A is seeking an energetic medical-surgical nurse to join our dynamic team here at Piedmont Athens. We pride ourselves in providing high quality, evidenced based care on a fast paced 30 bed Med-Surg unit. Our Med A staff coordinate health care plans with the entire medical team to provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients suffering from a variety of illnesses and comorbidities including overflow from our specialty care units such as Surgery, Pulmonary, Neuroscience, Oncology, and Orthopedics. Support staff include IV team, home med nurse and lift team. Responsibilities:

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Patient ratios are determined by various factors, including volume and acuity of patient needs. Extenuating circumstances may determine a need for lower or higher ratios

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelors Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible Required
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required andBCLS - Basic Life Support RequiredAdvanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
