Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, GA is seeking an energetic Medical-Surgical Staff Nurse for a full-time night shift (7pm-7am) on our 30-bed unit. The role focuses on direct patient care across adult and geriatric populations, with a sign-on bonus and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities include nursing assessment, care planning, and collaboration with the care team to maintain quality outcomes. Graduation from an accredited nursing program and GA RN licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
• GA RN licensure is required at time of hire.
• Current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients.

Med Surg Unit

Med A is seeking an energetic medical-surgical nurse to join our dynamic team here at Piedmont Athens. We pride ourselves in providing high quality, evidenced based care on a fast paced 30 bed Med-Surg unit. Our Med A staff coordinate health care plans with the entire medical team to provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients suffering from a variety of illnesses and comorbidities including overflow from our specialty care units such as Surgery, Pulmonary, Neuroscience, Oncology, and Orthopedics. Support staff include IV team, home med nurse and lift team.

Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible Required
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
