Job description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, direct and guide patient/family education, and oversee the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The RN is directly accountable for the care provided to assigned patients and is expected to communicate promptly with physicians regarding changes in clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology. The RN must be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or treatment response.
