Job summary

Southern Health Partners is seeking a Registered Nurse Medical Team Administrator to oversee day-to-day healthcare delivery at Colbert County Jail in Tuscumbia, AL. This full-time role offers three 12-hour shifts per week and involves leadership of a correctional medical team.

The RN will provide direct patient care, supervise staff, ensure policy compliance, and maintain accurate clinical documentation in a secure facility setting.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Alabama.
• Current CPR certification.
• Previous nursing experience required.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively and professionally in a correctional setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide and oversee direct patient care within the facility.
• Coordinate and support daily clinical operations.
• Supervise and collaborate with nursing and medical staff.

What You’ll Do

As the Medical Team Administrator, you'll help oversee the day-to-day delivery of healthcare services within the facility while working alongside a dedicated correctional healthcare team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide and oversee direct patient care within the facility
• Coordinate and support daily clinical operations
• Supervise and collaborate with nursing and medical staff
• Ensure quality patient care and adherence to established policies and procedures
• Complete assessments, medication administration, treatments, and other nursing duties as needed
• Communicate with providers, facility leadership, and the healthcare team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Help ensure the medical department operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards
