Job summary

Southern Health Partners is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at the Tuscaloosa County Jail in Tuscaloosa, AL. This full-time night position runs 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts, offering a stable, structured correctional healthcare environment.

You will provide comprehensive nursing care, perform assessments, administer medications, and coordinate with physicians to ensure high-quality patient care while maintaining records

Qualifications

• RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting.
• Perform nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Respond to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Provide patient education and promote continuity of care.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare and correctional teams.
• Maintain professionalism and patient confidentiality at all times.
