Job summary

Southern Health Partners is seeking a dependable LPN or CCMA to join our correctional healthcare team at the Tuscaloosa County Jail in Tuscaloosa, AL.

You will provide compassionate patient care, assist with assessments, administer medications, monitor conditions, and maintain medical documentation on a rotating night schedule.

Eligible candidates include Alabama LPNs or CCMA with CPR certification; strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted LPN license in Alabama
• Current CCMA certification
• Current CPR certification
• Clinical assessment and critical thinking skills required

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care within the correctional healthcare setting
• Assist with patient assessments and monitor patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments within your scope of practice
• Respond appropriately to patient medical needs and changes in condition
• Obtain vital signs and perform clinical tasks as directed
• Assist healthcare providers with patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and correctional staff
• Follow established clinical standards, policies, and procedures
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Southern Health Partners is seeking a dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) to join our healthcare team at the Tuscaloosa County Jail.

This is an opportunity to use your clinical skills in a structured correctional healthcare environment while providing meaningful care to an underserved population.

What You'll Do

  • Current CPR certification
  • Clinical experience preferred
• For All Candidates:
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a healthcare team
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred
  • Correctional healthcare experience is a plus, but not required

Your Schedule

7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule

You'll have the consistency of a defined rotation while working as part of a dedicated healthcare team.
