Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical Unit IV at Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ. This full-time, day-shift RN position focuses on high-quality patient-centred care and collaborative practice within a state-of-the-art facility.

The role requires an active NJ RN license (or NJ-endorsed multistate license) with BLS; BSN is preferred. Expect a consistent 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing or Multistate RN with NJ endorsement.
• BLS certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond to clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care with sound clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and teamwork for optimal outcomes.
• Contribute to ongoing professional growth through clinical ladder opportunities.
