Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical RN to provide comprehensive nursing care on the MS unit. The role involves supervising nursing assistants, documenting care, and ensuring patient safety in collaboration with the Nurse Manager and healthcare team.

The RN will perform assessments, implement plans of care, administer therapies, and educate patients and families while maintaining high standards of care and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois (IDFPR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• College Diploma in Nursing or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing care using the nursing process for MS unit patients.
• Supervises nursing assistants and coordinates with the Nurse Manager.
• Documents care accurately and maintains unit safety and patient comfort.
• Administers meds and therapies per physician orders and protocol.
• Engages in patient and family education and discharge planning.
