Carle Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical unit (R4). The role requires handling a high-acuity patient mix with a 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio and semi-private rooms across a 15-unit unit, scalable to 20.

A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external applicants, with a focus on teamwork and patient safety. The ideal candidate holds an Illinois RN license, BLS within 30 days, and a Nursing diploma.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois (IDFPR).
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (AHA).
• Nursing diploma, eligible for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial assessment and develop care plan per unit standards.
• Administer medications and monitor patient status with RN judgment.
• Ensure safety, accurate documentation, and timely shift reports.
