Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an RN to join 2 West, a 36-bed med/surg unit with oncology patients. The team-oriented environment supports career growth and provides a per diem schedule. You will care for patients, coordinate with the care team, and help teach and support students and new hires.

You must hold Maine RN licensure or be eligible, with at least 1 year of RN experience preferred. Generous time-off and education benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Maine state licensure as an RN or eligibility to obtain in a timely fashion.
• At least 1 year of RN experience preferred.
• Per Diem schedule flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, transfers, discharges and referrals.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
• Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
• May precept student nurses and new hires.
