Job summary

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact license required.
• BSN within 6 years of hire for new RN hires; existing staff encouraged to pursue BSN.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• NIHSS required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for patients and families including education and discharge planning.
• Provide direct patient care and collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals.
• Lead ancillary staff, serve as a preceptor, and be an active member of the healthcare team.
• Maintain infection prevention standards and aseptic technique.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR.
• Adhere to ANA Scope of Practice, Code of Ethics, and hospital policies.
• On-call duties may be required depending on the unit.
