Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care through the nursing process in the Telemetry unit at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. This per diem position rotates across two shifts per pay period and supports a 6-patient telemetry team.

ACLS and BCLS are required; RN licensure in good standing is expected. Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, patient education, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of RN experience.
• ACLS and basic life support certifications required.
• RN licensure in good standing (state or compact).
• Telemetry knowledge and ability to monitor multiple patients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process and policies.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings, reporting changes to care team.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards and participate in quality improvement.
