Job summary

Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, NY seeks a Per Diem RN for Med/Surg (SLB6) on day shift (7a-7:30p). The role uses the nursing process to plan, implement, direct and evaluate patient care and collaborates with all disciplines on the unit.

Current NYS RN registration, nursing diploma, and licensure are required; BSN preferred. BLS is required; Med-Surg certification preferred. 1-2 years Med/Surg experience and ventilator patient experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• Current registration in New York State as an RN, Diploma and Licensure required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years Med/Surg experience preferred.
• Experience with ventilator patients preferred.
• Current BLS required.
• Med-Surg certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the Nursing process to plan, implement, direct and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Works collaboratively with all other disciplines on assigned unit.
