Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Registered Nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Morgan, Colorado. You will provide compassionate, patient-centered care, coordinating with the healthcare team to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, interventions, documentation, and patient/family education within a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma/endorsement.
• Active and unencumbered RN license in the state of employment.
• One year of inpatient RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual domains.
• Evaluate patient responses and intervene to optimize outcomes.
• Develop and implement the plan of care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Perform therapeutic/diagnostic tasks (IVs, wound care, meds, catheterization, specimen collection).
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Document status, interventions and outcomes timely.
• Use IT to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.
• Advocate for patient safety and rights in collaboration with the care team.
• Educate patients and families based on learning readiness and needs.
• Evaluate effectiveness of teaching provided to patients/families.
